Michael Jackson's brother is upset with Oprah

TV sensation, Oprah Winfrey is preparing a special dedicated to Michael Jackson and word has it that she has scored interviews with those who were closest to him such as ex-wife Lisa Marie Presley, his mother Katherine Jackson and even the singer's eldest children, Prince and Paris, to talk about the late singer.

Now, his own brother, Randy Jackson, has clearly expressed his total opposition against this interview and took his Twitter account to express his issues with Oprah: "I can never forget when she had the show on pedophilia during the jury deliberation process in my brother's Santa Maria case... That was no coincidence," he revealed.

Randy states Oprah was not fair with his brother during the trial and how his brother would not approve of her being close to his children. He wrote: "I know how Oprah feels about my brother and family. I also know that he would not have wanted this... She is the last person on earth he (Michael) would want around his children."

Jackson's brother added that had he known beforehand about this interview, he would have advised his parents against it.

In my humble opinion, the guy has a point. Oprah wasn't fair to Michael at all, specially considering how he gave her the interview of a lifetime by agreeing to let her be the first person to interview him inside his Neverland ranch, providing her with one of the highlights of her career. She never gave him the presumption of innocence during the trial, instead, she distanced herself from him and made it seem as if she was more doubtful than sure about his persona.

Now, after he's gone, she has been quick to remark the wonderful musical figure he was just to get a ratings boost. Besides, aren't MJ's children supposed to be living a quiet and normal life? Leave those kids alone!

Are you in favour or against this interview? Weigh in on the comments below!

  2. I share the same opinion as Randy as I do not believe that Michael would have wanted his children in the present of this women. Micheal was a wonderful person and as much as his loved his mother, she seemed to always allowed somethings to go on that was not in the best interest of her son however, in the interest to make a buck; and we all know how much their dad cared about them, so much that he would not let them call him dad but, made them call him Joseph Per Michael and Janet. I also think that it was in poor taste that Oprah's gal pal Gail invited herself to some along on the interview. Out of boredom I watched the behind the scenes and notice that Oprah made reference to the fact that she did not know that Joe was going to be at the interview. Oh well, maybe they were just as surprise to see Gail there!
