Eric Stoltz was the original Marty Mcfly!

Can you imagine how different the lifes of many young teenage girls and boys of the 80's would have been if Robert Zemeckis had never casted Michael J. Fox in the "Back to the future" movies? Well, as a matter of fact, Fox wasn't the studio's first choice!

Actor Eric Stoltz was cast as Marty Mcfly and the movie was into five weeks of filming when they realized they had made a terrible mistake! Apparently, the lack of humour was a crucial factor for this decision. Fortunately for us, Zemeckis could convince the studio to recast the role and use some of the footage without Stoltz for the film.

This footage will be one of the many cool features that the Bluray edition of "Back to the future" will contain. Want to catch a sneak peek? Brace yourselves, it doesn't look like the same movie we all know and love without Michael in it! Click on the video below and post your thoughts on the comments!
