Culture Club will reunite!

2012 will be the year when Culture Club will reunite again as a band, at least, according to its former frontman, Boy George. That year will mark the 80's pop group 30th anniversary which is the perfect opportunity for the guys to get back together. He explains: "We're definitely doing it, yeah, yeah, in 2012. Our D-Day is April 30, which is the same day as our first ever single release, 'White Boy', and yeah, we're doing it, it's going to be great fun."

George reveals: "If we don't do it now we'll do it when we're 60, which will be really tragic. In fact, when I do this tour next year I will be 50 officially, because I'm 50 on the 14th of June, in eight months' time!"

The group began their musical career on 1981, and were an instant success  in the UK (where they had nine Top 10 singles) and the US with their biggest hit, 'Karma Chameleon' in 1984, which topped the charts. They reunited briefly between 1998 and 2002 but failed to attract to the same attention as they did before.

Lets hope they can work things out this time around. Boy George was a huge influence in the UK during the 80's and he sure hasn't lost his peculiar personality over the years. If they can come up with great songs, I'm sure they could achieve a decent comeback.

Are you looking forward to this 80's flashback?
